Instructions for Your iPod

You can get audiobooks or music for free with Ohio Digital Library and Freegal Music.

I want audiobooks.

  1. Install this software: iTunes
  2. Then, install this software: OverDrive Media Console
  3. Browse for titles: Ohio Digital Library
  4. Checkout and download audiobooks.
  5. Choose MP3 or WMA format.
  6. Transfer the audiobook to your iPod via a USB connection using OverDrive Media Console.*

*If an error appears, you will need to enable the "Manually manage music" option on your device.

You can keep audiobooks for up to 3 weeks, 10 items at a time per account.

I want music.

  1. Browse or search for songs: Freegal Music
  2. Log in with your library card number.
  3. Download songs.
  4. Open in iTunes.
  5. Update your iPod as you normally would.

You can download up to 5 songs per week or stream 3 hours of songs per day.
