, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the food system through education and increased access to healthful, affordable and sustainable food, will prepare tofu sloppy joes with kids ages 6 and up and their parents.
Learn how whole foods are nutritious, "all the time" snacks that can be just as delicious as processed, "sometimes" snacks. While preparing a tasty and simple meal of tofu sloppy joes, made using whole foods, families will learn hands-on strategies to easily get more nutritious whole foods in their families' daily diets. You'll not only taste the difference but see how whole foods keep our minds and bodies strong and full of energy, to keep the fun going all day long.
This event is intended for children 1st grade and up and their parents. Note: Registration opens August 15. This event is part of a series for the 2nd annual community-wide reading program, Westerville Reads. The theme this year is sustainability and eating locally.
