Guest Storytime with Tom, Columbus Zoo Education Department
Time: 11am - 1pm
Location: Combined Meeting Room
Enjoy a nature-themed story hand-picked and read aloud by Tom Strasburg, an employee of the Columbus Zoo's Education Department. Then get to know a little about Tom, how he developed his love of nature and the environment, and how you can get involved.
A craft or activity will be included as well as a short nature walk if weather permits.
Note: No live animals will be attending this event.
About the Series
Meet people from all walks of life and hear their unique personal stories. Throughout the year, community members with diverse backgrounds are invited by the library to encourage acceptance and promote respect while providing an enjoyable literacy experience.
Future and past presenters include: A ballerina from BalletMet, an English Learners Community Outreach Liaison for the Westerville City Schools (Lula Abdull Mohamed), a drag queen and comedian (Nina West), the 7-year-old founder of Tiger Mushroom Farms (Te'Lario Watkins II), and the owner of Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn (Anna Mae Blankemeyer)
