Westerville, OH – On July 15, the Auditor of State Keith Faber announced that the Westerville Public Library has qualified for the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction.
This is the second year in a row that the Library has received this award for meeting the criteria of a “clean” audit report, which contained no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs. The award is based on an audit of the 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), filed by the Library’s Fiscal Officer at the time, Dan Griscom.
“Accurate bookkeeping is a critical component of efficient government,” Auditor Faber said in a press release. "These governments have shown their commitment to saving taxpayer's money, and I am proud to present them with this award."

The Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing all public offices in Ohio – more than 6,000 entities – to provide clean, accountable and efficient governments to the people of Ohio.
“Taxpayers expect accurate financial records from their local governments,” Auditor Yost said. “The Westerville School District Library’s dedication to accountability is evident.”
