What other limits are there?

100-Item Limit on Reserves

You are restricted from requesting more than 100 reserves (holds) at any one time. Note: Policies may differ for items requested from SearchOhio or OhioLINK.

Blocked Account

Billed items or fines of $10 or more will result in your library account being blocked. You will be unable to renew or check out items until billed items are returned and fines are paid down to $10.

Limits on Number of Checked-Out Items

You can have only 25 DVDs and Blu-rays. There is no limit to the number of other types of items (e.g. books, audiobooks, art prints, etc.) that you can have checked out on your account at any given time. Do keep in mind, however, that you will be held financially responsible for any items that you do not return on time.

Note: Policies may differ for other services, such SearchOhio, OhioLINK, subscriptions and databases or ebooks and more.

Movie Restrictions for Children

Children cannot use their library card to check out movies rated PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, unrated or not rated without parental consent. With parental permission, children under 18 can check out movies above a G rating.

Parents can give permission when registering their child for a library card, or make changes to existing accounts by presenting a government-issued photo ID at the Circulation Desk.
