On August 22, 2024, the Auditor of State Keith Faber shared that the Westerville Public Library has qualified for the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction.
This is the seventh year in a row that the Library has received this award for meeting the criteria of a “clean” audit report, which contained no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs. The award is based on an audit of the 2023 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, opens a new window, filed by the library’s Fiscal Officer, Erin Hill.
“By keeping accurate financial records, governing bodies demonstrate their commitment to efficient, effective, and transparent service,” Auditor Faber said. “This award honors public entities that have put in the hard work to keep their finances in order.”
The Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing all public offices in Ohio – more than 6,000 entities – to provide clean, accountable and efficient governments to the people of Ohio.
