On July 7, 2022, the Auditor of State Keith Faber announced that the Westerville Public Library has qualified for the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction.
This is the fifth year in a row that the Library has received this award for meeting the criteria of a “clean” audit report, which contained no findings for recovery, material citations, material weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs. The award is based on an audit of the 2021 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, opens a new window, filed by the Library’s Fiscal Officer, Erin Hill.
“This award recognizes the hard work of fiscal offices to keep clean, accurate records,” said Auditor Faber. “Their efforts go a long way toward making Ohio more efficient, effective, and transparent.” said Auditor Faber said in a press release.
The Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing all public offices in Ohio – more than 6,000 entities – to provide clean, accountable and efficient governments to the people of Ohio.
