Westerville History Museum improves access to digital & physical collections

The collection includes over 50,000 images and scanned documents from the 1800s to present day.

The Westerville History Museum recently launched a new tool that makes it even easier to find historic photographs, marriage announcements, obituaries, maps, and other historic records for Westerville, Ohio. The collection includes includes over 50,000 images and scanned documents related to Westerville, Ohio - from the 1800s to present day. You can use the new online tool to research the history of your home, fill in gaps in your family tree, find a photo of a prominent community leader, or discover facts about a Westerville landmark.

Previously, the collection was split into two separate databases, one for digital images and records, and the other a finding aid for physical items stored in the museum. Now all the records appear in one place, saving you time and making the collection easier to navigate. You can search by keyword, the name of an item, subject, when an item was created, who created it, and whether it has been digitized. You can also browse by popular topics such as the Anti-Saloon League, the Hanby House, or the Underground Railroad.
