Teen Volunteers

Earn service hours by helping library staff. Requirements vary. Spaces are limited.

Before applying, review these expectations. After applying and before your first volunteer shift, all volunteers must attend an orientation.

Lead Volunteers

  • Dates: Ongoing
  • Ages: 16-18
  • Minimum Availability: 4-6 hours per month (during school year), 4-6 hours per week (in summer)
  • Tasks: Event help & materials preparation
  • Status: Now accepting applications

Note: All volunteers must fill out an application, even if you've volunteered before.

Summer

  • Dates: May-July
  • Ages: 12-18
  • Minimum Availability: 2 hours per month
  • Tasks: Giving out prizes, helping sign up readers
  • Status: Now accepting applications

Homework Help

  • Dates: August-May
  • Ages: 15-18
  • Minimum Availability: 1 hour per week
  • Tasks: Homework help, reading with kids
  • Status: Currently full.
