Earn service hours by helping library staff. Requirements vary. Spaces are limited.
Before applying, review these expectations. After applying and before your first volunteer shift, all volunteers must attend an orientation.
Summer
- Dates: May-July
- Ages: 12-18
- Minimum Availability: 2 hours per month
- Tasks: Giving out prizes, helping sign up readers
- Status: Applications open April 1.
Note: All volunteers must fill out an application, even if you've volunteered before.
Lead Volunteers
- Dates: Ongoing
- Ages: 16-18
- Minimum Availability: 4-6 hours per month (during school year), 4-6 hours per week (in summer)
- Tasks: Event help & materials preparation
- Status: Applications open March 1.
Homework Help
- Dates: August-May
- Ages: 15-18
- Minimum Availability: 1 hour per week
- Tasks: Homework help, reading with kids
- Status: Currently full.
