Volunteer at the Library

Did you know that volunteers gave more than 2,400 hours of their time to the Westerville Public Library in 2022?

Volunteer assistance is always greatly appreciated by library staff. By donating a couple of hours of your spare time on a weekly basis to help with ongoing tasks, you can contribute to the library in valuable ways.

Here are some of the tasks our current volunteers are doing:

  • Shelving recently returned materials
  • Assisting with home deliveries
  • Helping with special projects
  • Assisting with library events and programs
  • Helping to process or repair library materials
  • and more!

I'm an Adult. (Ages 18+)

Thank you for your interest in helping the library. The library is currently working with many dedicated individuals to accomplish daily tasks and special projects. In addition, Friends of the Westerville Public Library often seeks volunteers to work on a regular basis in the gift shop.

If you are interested in getting involved, fill out an application (linked below). We will contact you as volunteer opportunities become available.

I'm a Teen. (Ages 12 to 18)

Students age 12-18 are eligible to serve as teen volunteers.

Volunteer tasks may include shelving books and DVDs and helping at children's programs for service hours.
