May 23-October 27 – SearchOhio and OhioLINK will be unavailable during upgrade.

During this time, you can continue to borrow from 17 neighboring libraries via the Central Library Consortium (CLC).

Last year, Ohio libraries shared more than 6 million items with each other, thanks to a system that connects 86 college libraries (known as OhioLINK) and 45 public libraries (known as SearchOhio).

A major upgrade to this system will take place on the following dates:

  • May 23-October 27 – You will not be able to borrow or renew items from OhioLINK collections.
  • August 1-October 27 – You will not be able to borrow or renew items from SearchOhio collections. (You can return items and pay fines/fees as usual.)

Benefits include:

  • Ability to expand the number of future libraries participating
  • Simplified user experience
  • Improved library collaboration and operational efficiencies
  • Comes with no development costs to your library
  • Easier to discover library resources and explore new content

“We are looking forward to the new future-focused experience to support our patrons’ pursuit of knowledge and inspiration,” said Erin Francoeur, Executive Director of the Westerville Public Library.

During this time, you can continue to borrow from 17 neighboring libraries via the Central Library Consortium (CLC).
