Tour Options for Grades K-5

Hanby House + Historic Uptown

Students will visit Hanby House and take a guided walking tour of historic Uptown Westerville.

  • Availability: Mornings only
  • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes per experience)
  • Distance for Walking Tour: 1 mile (approximately)
  • Start Time: Start at 9:45 or 10am
  • Lunchtime: 12:15 or 12:30pm (Tip: Many schools prefer to pack lunch for a picnic in Alum Creek Park North.)
  • Considerations: Hanby House has stairs and some uneven surfaces.
  • Instructions: To prepare for your visit, read these instructions.

Important Note: To ensure a safe, well-run experience for large groups (56 students or more), your tour must be booked on a Wednesday or Friday.

Historic Uptown only

Students will take a guided walking tour of historic Uptown Westerville.

  • Availability: Mondays only
  • Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Distance: 1 mile (approximately)

Hanby House only

Students will visit Hanby House.

  • Availability: Mondays only
  • Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
