Auto Repair Reference Center provides car repair manuals for over 20,000 makes and models from 1945 to present. Includes service bulletins, recalls, repair procedures, and wiring diagrams.
Wilson’s Biography Reference Bank offers biographical profiles for over 500,00 famous people, as well as related articles, and can be searched by name, profession, gender, or keyword.
Business & Company Resource Center provides access to company profiles, industry rating, product brands, company performance ratings, investment reports and ratings, industry statistics, financial overviews, etc.
Business Dateline provides access to business magazines and newspapers, including Business First: Columbus, Smart Business Columbus, and Ohio Magazine.
EBSCOhost’s Business Source Premier provides access to industry profiles, market research reports, SWOT analyses, product reviews and trade journals.
NewsBank’s Columbus Dispatch includes archives from July 1985 to present, including select obituaries.
ConsumerReports.org offers all of the content of the Consumer Reports website for free to Westerville Library patrons! Find product reviews and ratings for everything from cars and appliances to electronics and insurance.
Contemporary Authors provides biographical and bibliographical information for more than 90,000 authors in the world. Categories include critical reviews, contact information, and awards won.
CultureGrams provides information on the countries of the world, as well as the 50 states, including profiles of daily life and culture, lifestyles, and statistics.
EBSCOhost Research Databases provides access to thousands of magazines, journals, newspapers, pamphlets, and periodicals on a wide range of subjects, including health & medical research, business, and more. Click on "All EBSCOhost Databases" to see a list of subjects to search.
eLibrary provides access to well-known magazines and newspapers, as well as primary source documents such as photos, transcripts, and sound clips.
Grolier Online Passport is a kid-friendly encyclopedia that includes dictionaries, atlases, current events, and lesson plans for educators.
HeritageQuest Online provides genealogical information for tracing family lineage beginning with the thirteen original colonies. Includes U.S. Census images from 1790 to 1930, Revolutionary War files, and local histories.
Facts on File’s Issues and Controversies covers the different viewpoints for current issues, and includes pro/con statements, timelines, primary source documents, articles, and statistics.
Kids InfoBits provides kid-friendly information about a variety of topics, including health, science, geography, and social studies. Sources include Junior Scholastic, Highlights for Children, and USA Today.
LearningExpressLibrary offers practice tests for numerous standardized tests, including the GRE, SAT, ACT, TOEFL, civil service, nursing assistant, and cosmetology exams. (New users choose a personal username and password to track time and scores.)
Thomson Gale’s Legal Forms offers thousands of Ohio-specific and national legal forms spanning a variety of common concerns, including bankruptcy, divorce, small business, power of attorney, etc.
LitFinder provides access to thousands of famous poems, stories, essays, plays, and speeches.
Mango Languages offers lessons for learning 12 different languages, including Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, and English as a Second Language (ESL).
Netwellness provides simple, high-quality information about health and medical conditions, including definitions, causes, symptoms, treatment, prognosis, and prevention.
NewsBank offers access to Ohio newspapers, including the Columbus Dispatch, the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Dayton Daily News and the Toledo Blade.
EBSCOhost's Newspaper Source provides access to many Ohio newspapers, including Akron Beacon Journal, Toledo Blade and Ashtabula's Star Beacon. Oxford Music Online provides biographical information about thousands of classical and contemporary musicians and composers.
Oxford Reference Online searches hundreds of dictionaries on a variety of subjects, including foreign languages, quotations, business, mythology, and science.
Proquest Newspapers provides access to well-known newspapers, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.
ReferenceUSA provides detailed information on U.S. businesses, including annual sales, number of employees, management directories, and UCC filings. Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps includes historic large-scale street plans and maps for Ohio from 1867 to 1970. Search by street address, city, or county.
Facts on File’s Science Online covers major topics in science and technology, and includes news articles, printable diagrams, videos, etc.
SIRS Knowledge Source provides access to newspaper and magazine articles on a variety of historical and current event topics. It also provides access to primary sources and government documents.
Teen Health and Wellness covers all topics relating to the physical and mental health of teenagers, including topics such as eating disorders, nutrition, emotions, sexuality, and safety.
World Book provides online access to the well-known encyclopedia and includes all encyclopedia entries, as well as pictures, maps, pronunciations, etc. World Book also provides the Spanish-language version, Hispánica Saber: Gran Enciclopedia Hispánica
Facts.com’s World News Digest focuses on current events from 1940 to present times. Information includes news articles, primary documents, images, and statistics.
OCLC’s WorldCat searches the contents of more than 50,000 worldwide library catalogs.
