Entrepreneur improves photos of baby wipes product in the library’s free Innovation Lab

Seokjung Kim's first entrepreneurial journey started 10 years ago when he co-founded a healthcare brand in South Korea with a goal of making himself and others healthier. His company was successful and featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia

A few years later when he moved to the United States with his wife so she could start her career as a post-doctoral researcher at The Ohio State University, he launched another startup. His goal was to create the purest and safest baby wipe - using 100% water and 100% cotton - for people with sensitive skin, especially babies suffering from eczema.

Initially, he took photos of his products on his smartphone in his home. But he wanted to make them look more professional, so he came to the library to try out the digital creation station in the Innovation Lab. Here, he was able to take advantage of a DLSR camera, tripod, lighting equipment, and editing software to improve the quality of his product photos.

When asked about his experience at the library, he said:

"Our photos have improved significantly in quality!"

Some of the photos he created in the Innovation Lab are now featured on his product's website.

Seokjung was enthusiastic when speaking about what libraries have meant to him.

"I'm a big fan of public libraries, especially the Worthington libraries and Westerville library. I sincerely want to thank all the staff and volunteers who make theses amazing places possible. They've provided me with opportunities to grow, learn and have fun. I'm truly grateful!"
